3 Reasons Why Photography and Writing Are Alike

Picture the words while it lasts. Photography fascinates me. Writing limelights the entire word-work with photographic semblance. Both see through the eye. Both read without limit within the soul-- to put it that way.

 Here are 3 reasons why:

1. English words are meaningless unless expressed with skill, careful working, crafting to influence action, simplicity, love and great respect for our readers.

GAHenty Reuel Santos  brilliantly expresses his heart and mind through the eye of his lens camera. The world resonates with him. He's easily keen on that. It amazes me. As I pass by his work,  his photostream of life ideas captivates. I love writing about his awesome photography!

2. Writers, are similar. We read and decipher with detail, affecting emotions. A writer affects her readers in a way that resonates deeply-- seeing through the layers--asking the "Why?" and "How?' with a stream of pictures in her head awaiting to express. That's a good thing a writer has accomplished so well. We've gained happy readers.

3. Historical fiction, for instance. Photographs of all time move our spirit when we behold and capture every image before our eyes, mesmerized. Memorizing every line, shadow, mystery and the story behind.  Reuel Santos'   photos do that . He loves photography, the life it gives him speaks volumes in his photographs.

On the other hand, Chaim Potok  has been the kind of author I'd put in worth my time (and life) to read and put myself into the characters of his stories. His stories speak of time in unity with human life. Allowing room for thought, "Ah, yeah! I didn't think of it that way before." Or, "I wanna look into it more deeply."

The world to a photographer conveys pictures of life. The world to a writer speaks life in action and
adventure.

Okay. Just a thought for writers like me to put down on 'paper'. I just can't let this fleeting moment pass me by.
